  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 1.5 cups jasmine rice
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 0.5 cup frozen peas optional
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt only as needed
  • 2 green onions green onions very thinly sliced

Preparation Steps
  1. Combine the rice and the chicken stock in a large saucepan or skillet, cover with a lid and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 18 minutes.
  2. At the end of the cooking time, stir the rice and check for tenderness. If the liquid has been absorbed, drizzle with soy sauce and sesame oil, then toss well to coat.
  3. Add frozen peas, if desired, and stir to combine. The heat will cook the peas in a minute or two. Taste and add salt if needed. Stir in green onions, keep covered until ready to serve.
