Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Press the liquid out of the tofu using a tofu press or by wrapping it in a towel and placing a heavy object on top for 10-15 minutes. Cut the tofu into cubes.
- Mix the cornstarch, brown sugar, smoked paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, and kosher salt in a bowl. Gently toss the tofu cubes in the spice mixture to coat. Transfer to a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake the tofu for 30-35 minutes until crispy and golden. Serve immediately or toss with your favorite BBQ sauce.
