  • 1 head cabbage
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 0.666 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 24 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 0.33 cup light brown sugar

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spread the cabbage across the bottom of a 9x13 dish. In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until browned.
  2. Drain excess grease and add rice, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the skillet with the beef. Add crushed tomatoes and stir well. Spread this mixture over the cabbage layers in the baking dish.
  3. Mix tomato sauce, sugar, and vinegar in a bowl. Pour over the layered dish. Cover with foil and bake for 90 minutes. Remove foil and let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
