Preparation Steps
- Scald the milk and melt the butter together in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk/butter mixture, warm water, yeast, sugar, and salt. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Add half of the flour and mix for 3-5 minutes until incorporated.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until a soft, elastic dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for 30 to 60 minutes until doubled in size.
- Divide dough into 32 equal pieces. Shape each into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Cover and let rise another 30-60 minutes until sides touch.
- Bake at 400°F for 14-18 minutes until golden. Brush with butter while hot.
