Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Slice the French bread in half lengthwise to create two long pieces.
  3. Place the bread halves on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cut sides up.
  4. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes to lightly toast the bread, preventing sogginess.
  5. Remove from oven and spread 1/2 cup of pizza sauce over each slice. Top with 1 cup shredded cheese and additional toppings as desired.
  6. Bake for an additional 8-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven, let rest for 3 minutes, then slice into 2-inch pieces and serve hot.
