Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide pizza dough into two pieces. Roll out each piece into a round about 8 inches in diameter.
- Layer half the pepperoni, salami, sausage, mozzarella, and Parmesan on each dough round.
- Fold dough over and pinch edges together. Roll pinched edges up and pinch again.
- Whisk egg and water. Brush over the top of the calzones.
- Sprinkle tops with salt and Italian seasoning.
- Transfer calzones to the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until golden brown. Cool before serving.
Notes
This meat calzone is best enjoyed warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
