  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1.5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups dark chocolate candy melts

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Add the pecan halves to a food processor. Pulse a few times, then grind on low until coarse.
  2. Whisk together condensed milk, flour, and vanilla extract in a saucepan over medium heat until fully combined.
  3. Stir ground pecans into the warm mixture; cook for 8 to 10 minutes until thickened.
  4. Pour mixture into a 9x9 dish, cover, and chill for 20 minutes.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Use a 1 tablespoon scoop to form the pecan balls.
  7. Dampen hands and roll mixture into balls.
  8. Chill balls for 20 minutes.
  9. Melt chocolate in microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring after each.
  10. Dip each ball into melted chocolate and shake off excess.
  11. Garnish with chopped pecans if desired.
  12. Return to refrigerator for 20 minutes before serving.
