  • 1.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups pumpkin puree
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x5" loaf pan with non-stick spray.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, and orange juice, and mix well.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing gently. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cover with foil halfway through if the top browns too quickly.
  6. Allow the bread to cool completely in the pan before removing and slicing.
