  • 5 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cups beef broth
  • 0.5 cups light brown sugar
  • 0.25 cups balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 cloves garlic (pressed)

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Whisk together all the ingredients and add to the bottom of a slow cooker. Add the roast. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Remove the roast and shred with a fork. Return to juices.
  2. Serve and enjoy. The gravy is delicious with mashed potatoes too!
