Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray a rimmed baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss bread crumbs with 3 tablespoons of milk. Let rest, moistening with additional milk if dry.
- Add parmesan, onion, garlic, parsley, basil, and oregano; mix well.
- Add ground turkey. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Break egg yolk and drizzle over mixture.
- Mix with clean hands until well combined. Form into 16 meatballs.
- Place meatballs on prepared baking sheet. Brush with olive oil.
- Bake for 10 minutes; turn over if golden, bake additional 5 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- While baking, heat marinara sauce on low heat in a saucepan.
- Toss meatballs with warm marinara sauce and serve garnished with herbs if desired.
Notes
For best results, use lean ground turkey and fresh herbs.
